Miami has always been a city that moves fast, embraces change, and knows how to put on a show. It’s a place that has been a big part of my life since childhood, whether through sports, culture, or business. I’ve seen first-hand how Miami is always at the heart of what’s next. Right now, that thing is padel.

This week, Miami becomes the capital of the sport, with the Premier Padel P1 tournament to RacquetX, this is the week where padel’s future in the US starts to take shape. Whether you’re a player, an investor, or just someone curious about where the sport is headed, there’s plenty to be excited about. Here’s what to keep an eye on.

Premier Padel P1 Miami @ Miami Convention Center – March 17-23

For the first time, Premier Padel is coming to the United States. The best players in the world will be competing including Arturo Coello, Agustin Tapia, Ariana Sanchez Fallada and Paula Josemaria Martin, the current world number ones from men’s and women’s rankings. If you want to see just how fast, technical, and entertaining padel can be, this is the event to watch.

Hosting a tournament of this level in Miami is a massive statement. It shows that padel is ready to go mainstream in the US. With a city like this getting behind the sport, it’s only a matter of time before we start seeing more major tournaments, more clubs, and a bigger following.

RacquetX – March 22-24

From March 22 to 24, the second RacquetX is going to bring together the biggest names in padel, pickleball, badminton, squash, tennis and more for a three-day conference on the business of racquet sports. 5000 attendees, 125 companies and 1000 + industry leaders – If you want to know where the industry is headed, this is the event to be at.

Some of the key speakers include Ryan Redondo, CEO of Taktika Padel, who has been leading club development across the US. His team’s Kru by Taktika Padel project, backed by Sergio Agüero, just won the Hexagon Cup 2025, proving that padel’s team format is starting to gain serious traction with celebrities getting involved. Joan Suasi, Commercial Director at Rafa Nadal Academy, will also be speaking, giving insight into how racquet tourism is capturing the imaginations of luxury travellers.

RacquetX isn’t just about padel, it’s about how all racquet sports are changing, and supporting each other. We should see this as a collective, and Robyn Duda and her RacquetX team get that.

Club Águilas Resort of the Year Awards @ Reserve Padel Seaplane Base – March 19

Padel isn’t just about competition, it’s also about community, lifestyle, and experience. On March 19, Reserve Padel’s Seaplane Base will host the Club Aguilas Resort of the Year Awards, celebrating the clubs that are setting the standard for premium padel experiences across the world.

Miami is a symbol of the fact that padel is more than just a sport—it’s a lifestyle and cultural phenomenon. The growth of luxury padel clubs in the US mirrors what’s happening in Europe, where high-end venues are combining the game with social spaces, top-tier coaching, wellness and hospitality. This event will highlight the clubs and resorts that are leading the way.

Playtomic

Playtomic VIP Weekend – March 21-23

Playtomic, the world’s leading rackets technology booking platform, is hosting an exclusive VIP weekend in Miami. This is where the industry’s biggest players; operaters, investors and manufacturers, will come together with the media through conferences, panel discussions, presentations and networking opportunities with big names such as IMG and Premier Padel to talk about the future of the sport, both in the US and globally.

With founder Pablo having recently moved to Miami to lead Playtomic’s US expansion, the company is on a massive journey and has already played a big role in making padel accessible by connecting players with clubs worldwide. As padel expands in the US, platforms like this will be key in shaping how people discover and engage with the sport. Expect plenty of high-level networking, big ideas, and discussions about how padel can grow at scale.

Property+Padel @ Padel X Miami – March 20

If there’s one thing that will determine how fast padel grows in the US, it’s real estate. The Property+Padel event at Padel X Miami on March 20 is an important opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of how these two industries are interdependent.

Ben Nichols (CEO of Padel 22, co-founder of Property + Padel) and Rohit Grewal (MRICS, co-founder of Property + Padel) are bringing together club operators, investors, and developers to talk about where padel facilitates investment, urban growth in Miami corporate collaborations, monetization strategies and much more. This features some of the biggest padel and real estate names spearheading its development such as, Astrid Thams(Managing Director, Hexagon Cup), Marco Del Pilar (Co-founder, Pro Padel League), Pablo Carro (Co-founder & COO, Playtomic), Eric Loftus (Founder, Padel Solutions Group) Dora Puig (Luxury Real Estate Broker) and others.

This is a conversation we need to have, if padel is to grow as we all hope and expect. The demand for courts is growing fast, but space is limited and needs strategic planning. If padel is going to scale in the US the way it has in Europe, it’s going to need smart, long-term thinking about where, how and why clubs are built.

Why America’s Racquet Week Matters

As someone who grew up in Miami, it’s incredible to see padel taking off in my hometown. The sport is growing fast, and Miami is leading the charge. At Pura Padel, we’re excited to be part of this movement, with our own Miami club currently under construction and set to open later this year.

If you’re in town for any of these events, take it all in because what’s happening this month will shape the future of padel in the US.
