We’re only a little over a month into the new year, but we’ve already seen a whole slew of padel tournaments taking place across the U.S. and around the world featuring both professional and amateur players alike.
Here’s a quick rundown of all the action:
Padel Club League (PCL) America’s Cup by Alovéa — Sarasota, FL
The Pad Sarasota recently hosted eight premier padel clubs from across the country — including Dallas Padel Club, Padel39, Padel X, PATL, Real Padel, The Sports Haus, Taktika, and Tempo — for a three day team-based tournament “showcasing the sport’s camaraderie, dynamism, and growing popularity.”
Ultimately, the team from Padel X triumphed, narrowly edging out the team from The Sports Haus — after they snuck by Dallas Padel Club by a single point the day before in a closely contested semifinal battle.
Padel X Captain and Co-founder Nalle Grinda said, “We are thrilled and honored to be the first ever Padel Club League champions! Padel X will be the first forever! It has been a great journey for a team that formed throughout the weeks the league was ongoing, with the pinnacle of the America’s Cup last weekend at The Pad in Sarasota.”
Meanwhile, PCL Commissioner Eric Vehovec added: “This tournament was a testament to not only the energy and excitement that define padel but also to the growth of the game in North America. We’re thrilled to have hosted such an event in Sarasota, proud of all the teams for their performances, and eager to see what clubs will be America’s Cup winners of PCL seasons to come.”

Inter Club Cup — Woodlands, TX
The weekend immediately following the America’s Cup saw teams from several of the same clubs, along with teams from U-Padel, Pelota Padel, and Padel Club Austin (all in Texas), converge on U-Padel in Woodlands, TX for another team-based showdown.
Per the U.S. Padel Association (USPA):
“Cube Padel secured third place with a gritty two-sets-to-one victory over The Sports Haus. Players like Nicholas Frank and Alfredo Miranda were instrumental in this hard-earned win.”
“[Meanwhile,] in the highly anticipated final, Padel 39 showcased their exceptional teamwork and skill, defeating Pelota 2 in straight sets to claim the inaugural Inter Club Cup title. Rodrigo Banzer and Mauricio Rivera delivered standout performances, leading their team to victory.”

Reserve Cup — Miami, FL
As we recently reported, the first celebrity-fueled mega tournament of the year kicked off at Reserve’s flagship Seaplane location during an unusually chilly weekend in mid-January with a $1.7 million total prize pool.
Baseball hall-of-famer Derek Jeter and stand-up comedy legend Andrew Schulz served as honorary captains for the two teams, which were made up of nearly all the top 20 padel players in the world, including new Miami resident and world co-#1, Arturo Coello.
Reserve Padel founder Wayne Boich commented, “Part of our goal at Reserve has always been to showcase padel at the highest level. Following the success of the inaugural event in 2024—and most importantly, the overwhelming excitement from the players—we knew we had to take it further. That’s why we’re expanding the Reserve Cup into a series across three major cities in 2025, and thrilled to be kicking it off with Reserve Cup Miami.”

Hexagon Cup — Madrid, Spain
Finally, this past weekend saw many American padel fans traveling to Madrid to check out the second edition of the celebrity-backed and star-studded Hexagon Cup.
Although the great majority of participants, team owners, and sponsors are based outside the U.S., the trophy was ultimately hoisted by a team with deep connections to San Diego and the greater California area.
As reported by our U.K sister publication, The Padel Paper:
“When all was said and done, Kru Padel by Taktika defeated the Rafa Nadal Academy powered by Richard Mille team 2-1 on Championship Sunday to lift the second Alpine Hexagon Cup title at a sold-out Madrid Arena.
With €1.2 million on the line, and with the final poised at 1-1, Krü Padel by Taktika’s Next Gen pairing of Marina Lobo and Agueda Pérez Ortiz held their nerve and defeated Rafa Nadal Academy powered by Richard Mille’s pair Noa Canovas and Noemi Aguilar 6-3, 6-4 in a winner-takes-all match to conclude the action-packed five day event.”
