Following closely on the heels of her impressive performance on and off the court for the San Diego Stingrays in the Pro Padel League earlier this month, Miami-born Brittany Dubins continued to prove she’s one of the U.S.’s top padel talents by capturing the D1 Women’s New York USPA Major Championship at Padel Haus in Brooklyn this past weekend along with her partner, Ana María Cabrejas.

Across various social media platforms, Dubins expressed her excitement and gratitude, saying:

“I am thrilled to announce that I am the new champion of the major padel tournament hosted by Padel Haus in New York! This event not only highlighted the fantastic growth of padel in the U.S. but also brought together so many enthusiasts, sparking a greater interest in the sport.

A huge thank you to Padel Haus for putting together such an amazing event, and to all the fans who came out to support us—your energy was incredible!

I also want to express my gratitude to my phenomenal partner, Ana Maria Cabrejas. Competing alongside you was an honor, and your skill on the court is truly inspiring. We battled through three tough matches against tough opponents and friends to come out on top.

Here’s to more growth for padel in the U.S. and to inspiring the next generation of players to reach for the professional ranks!”

Spectators enjoying the action at Padel Haus

Following the tournament, an Instagram post from Padel Haus concluded:

“We had an incredible weekend at Padel Haus Dumbo hosting the USPA Major Championships. Some of the best players from across the USA and internationally competed in what was the highest level of padel we’ve seen so far at a USPA tournament.

It was a showcase of the popularity that this sport is now showing consistently across the country and the biggest tournament to date in NYC. Thank you to everyone who made the trip and made this such a special tournament.”

Next month will see two more USPA Majors taking place at P1 Padel in Las Vegas and Padel Clube in Chicago, and the 2024 season will culminate at Ultra Padel Club in Miami in October with the final major of the season and the first-ever US Open Padel Championships.

So, there will be plenty more exciting action to come — and plenty more chances for Brittany Dubins to reach new heights in the U.S. padel world. Stay tuned!
