With each new day, it seems the Pro Padel League (PPL) or one of its teams breaks some exciting news.

Today was no different with the New York Atlantics franchise announcing that they have added to their already star-studded roster by signing Dallas-based, U.S. No. 1 ranked men’s padel player, Nico Agritelley.

In a video posted to Instagram, Agritelley, sporting a blue Padel Haus shirt, tells fans, “I am very excited to be joining the New York Atlantics, an expansion team this year in the Pro Padel League.

[I’m] beyond excited to play with Fede Chingoto, Juan Martin Diaz, [Rocio] Cardo, and many more incredible players. So, come out to Miami… come see the New York Atlantics in action… and I look forward to seeing you there. Vamos!”

As if this weren’t exciting enough in its own right for the unique, North-American-based PPL, Agritelley’s announcement comes directly on the heels of the PPL itself announcing that its eagerly anticipated sophomore season will kick off in April at Ultra Miami — which is about to expand into a 28 court facility that promises to be among the biggest in the world.

Of the incredible new venue, PPL Commissioner, Marcos del Pilar, says, “ULTRA CLUB in Miami is an ideal partner and location to hold the PPL’s first regular season events this year.

[It’s] a premier facility that will become one of the largest padel clubs in the United States, we are excited to showcase the PPL and the world’s best players at ULTRA CLUB next month. Miami is currently one of the most popular regions of the country for padel, and we are looking forward to further growing our fan base in South Florida.”

Ultra CEO Guillermo Barragan added, “As CEO of ULTRA CLUB, I am thrilled to announce our partnership with the Pro Padel League, a union that epitomizes our shared commitment to elevating the padel experience.

By aligning with the PPL, we’re not only expanding our reach, but also amplifying our impact, solidifying our position as a premier destination for padel aficionados and a new holistic approach to sports. Together, we’re rewriting the playbook, redefining the standards of excellence, and setting the stage for unforgettable experiences on-and-off the court.”
