Following closely on the heels of opening their third and fourth locations in California, Taktika Padel has just announced that Madrid-born Jacobo Blanco will begin serving as their new Head Padel Coach in mid-March, following a stint as the Director of one of the most popular padel facilities in Panama.

While Jacobo will be based out of Taktika’s headquarters in San Diego at the seven court padel facility inside the Barnes Tennis Center, he will also make regular visits to the other three current Taktika locations in Los Angeles, Palm Desert, and Stockton.

Jacobo Blanco

Blanco was a former top 15 player in the world when he competed on the World Padel Tour, and has continued to successfully compete on other professional padel circuits including A1 and in the Pro Padel League for the San Diego Stingrays.

In fact, the new Taktika Head Coach went undefeated on American soil last year, winning every USPA tournament he played in, including the USPA Masters held at Taktika San Diego. Furthermore, he also went undefeated in the Pro Padel League regular season and All-Star game.

Taktika Padel management reports that Blanco, “will be in charge of all aspects of on court coaching as well as implementing [our] new strategic plan which includes program and coach development, community activation, and overseeing all programs across the Taktika portfolio.”

They added, “Blanco will help lead the Taktika Padel Academy, a full time academy focusing on developing aspiring professional padel players that is set to launch this summer.”

Chairman and co-founder Gabriel Perez Krieb shares Blanco’s enthusiasm, saying, “Jacobo is going to bring us the quality and excellence we expect as the leading padel company in the U.S. Jacobo has been ranked as high as number 15 in the world and we believe this hiring exemplifies the commitment and dedication to the sport and our community.
