Despite being only its second season in existence, the unique North-American-based, team-focused Pro Padel League (PPL) has managed to attract some of the best male and female padel players across the globe for its 2024 season.

In fact, the sophomore season of the PPL will feature:

  • 11 players ranked top five in the world
  • 24 players ranked top ten the world
  • 40 players ranked top 20 in the world
  • 67 players ranked top 50 in the world

What’s more, the 2024 PPL team rosters will include five players ranked number one in their respective countries, along with Agustin Tapia and Ariana Sanchez Fallada, who have been — or currently are — the top-ranked male and female players in the world.

Of the world-class talent that will be on display next month as the PPL season kicks off at Ultra Padel Club in Miami, PPL Commissioner Marcos del Pilar said, “With the ten PPL teams set to deliver unbelievable competition in Miami next month, the PPL will showcase why it is a premier global padel league and further its mission of elevating and growing the game across North America.”

Per the PPL, team roster highlights for the 2024 season include:

  • Miami: Ariana Sanchez Fallada ranked no. 1 and Agustin Tapia ranked no. 4 and former world no. 1.

  • New York: Paquito Navarro no. 7, Federico Chingotto no. 8, former no. 1 Juan Martin Diaz, Delfi Brea no. 5, Tamara Icardo no. 8, and Virginia Riera no. 11.

  • Orlando: Gemma Triay Pons no. 3, Martin Di Nenno no. 5, Franco Stupaczuk no. 6, Aranzazu Osoro no. 12, and three other players ranked top 20 in the world.

  • Las Vegas (2023 Champions): Marta Ortega no. 6 and former world no. 1, and former no. 29 Guga Vazquez.

  • Los Angeles: Tolito Aguirre no. 5, Jessica Castello no. 10, and Alex Ruiz no. 12.

  • Arkansas: Patricia Llaguno Zielinski no. 17, and former no. 1 Maria Catalina Tenorio Cauvet.

  • Toronto: Coki Nieto no. 17, and Victoria Iglesias no. 20.

  • Cancun (2023 Finalists): Carlos Daniel “Sanyo” Gutierrez no. 11, and Alejandra Salazar no. 7, Eduardo Agustin Torre no. 7, Veronica Virseda Sanchez no. 14.

  • San Diego: Former no. 2 Miguel Lamperti, former no. 2 Maxi Sanchez, former no. 1 Lucia Sainz, Louie Harris no. 1 Great Britain.

  • Houston: Claudia Jensen no. 13 and Claudia Fernández no. 16 as well as the promising Ivan Ramirez and Pablo Garcia.

The 2024 season will officially kick off April 2nd-7th and April 9th-14th, with ten PPL teams representing some of the most iconic cities in North America including the Las Vegas Smash (2023 Champions), Cancun Waves (2023 Finalists), Miami Padel Club, Flowrida Goats (Orlando), San Diego Stingrays, Los Angeles Beat, Arkansas Matrix, Toronto Polar Bears, New York Atlantics, and Houston Volts.

Starting Tuesday, April 2nd, round robin matches will take place through Friday, April 5th, with the semifinals being held Saturday, April 6th and the final on Sunday, April 7th.

The same schedule of round robin matches will take place starting Tuesday April 9th, concluding with the finals on Sunday, April 14th. Tickets are now available including general admission, reserved seating, VIP, and week-long passes.
